With an all-new lunar color palette and the ability to brew iced drinks, the Magenta Prestige in Moonlight Grey is an exciting addition to Gaggia’s lineup of super-automatic espresso machines. 

The Over Ice Coffee doesn’t simply brew extra-concentrated espresso designed to be diluted by ice. Instead, the machine uses lower-temperature water and an extended brew period to produce cool espresso that won’t immediately melt the ice in your cup. The result is a refreshing iced beverage that maintains its strength and flavor. With a range of 2 - 7oz as well as the ability to double up your dose with Gaggia’s Coffee Boost, the Over Ice Coffee can be modified to produce a wide range of iced coffee beverages from iced espressos, Americanos, coffees and milk beverages.

But the Magenta Prestige in Moonlight Grey doesn’t just do iced drinks—this super-auto offers a full menu of 12 fully-customizable hot espresso and milk-based beverages: ristrettos, espressos, lungos, coffees, Americanos, cafe au lait, cortados, flat whites, macchiatos, and beyond, whatever your favorite drink happens to be, the Magenta Prestige Over Ice can brew it up in seconds. It even dispenses hot water for teas and frothed milk for hot chocolates or chais. 

The user interface features a full-color display and capacitive buttons that make menu navigation and drink customization easy and intuitive. After you make changes to a drink’s settings, you’ll automatically be prompted to save the settings for next time. 

In order to accommodate such a wide variety of drink options, Gaggia outfitted the

Magenta with a high quality steel cup riser that can be seated on the drip tray for taller cups or locked into the front of the machine to elevate your cup closer to the spouts to prevent splashing. The drip tray cover itself is a quality piece of fitted steel that secures magnetically for a more premium fit and finish.

The true luxury of the Magenta Prestige is the auto-frothing milk carafe. Simply lock it into the front of the machine and it froths and dispenses milk automatically when preparing a drink. It cleans itself after each frothing cycle, and there’s an option to do a deep clean on the machine’s menu. When not in use, you can store the carafe in the refrigerator and insert the included water spout attachment in its place. Perhaps most impressive of all, the programming logic will vary the order in which coffee or milk is dispensed for each drink, with milk first for cappuccinos and latte macchiatos, and coffee first for the café au lait, cortado, and flat white.
